We hope that all children will continue on a life long walk with our Lord, recognizing, anticipating, and rejoicing over God's work in their lives.

Worship

We are delighted to have our children and youth participate and learn more about our worship services. To encourage this, Thompson Church offers:

Junior Church
This is a program that teaches children from 4 years old through 2nd Grade about the parts of the worship service. The children are excused midway through the service to enjoy their own worship experience including a Hymn of Praise, a Prayer of Adoration, a Bible story sermon, and a craft to respond to the Word.

Student Ushers
Our Sunday School students take turns serving as Ushers and Greeters during worship services.

Youth Sunday
Students in 6th through 12th Grade study the elements of the worship service. They then create and lead their own service to share with the congregation.

Fellowship

Kids' Club
Children from Kindergarten through 6th Grade meet the first Thursday of the month for dinner, a Bible lesson, games, and crafts. The evening begins at 5:50 and ends at 7:30 Kids' Club runs from October through June.

Youth Group - "BLAZE"
Thompson offers youth activities for students from 6th through 12th grade. The Junior High Youth Group, (6th - 8th) meets Friday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Senior High Youth Group, (9th - 12th) meets Friday evenings from 8:00 - 10:00 PM (overlapping with Junior High for 1 hour). Both groups are combined for a fun event on the third Saturday of the month.

Mission

Thompson Church encourages our children and youth to reach out and help those in need. Here are some of our mission projects:

Compassion International
Thompson's Sunday School sponsors two children from other countries. The offering collected buys books, clothing, food, and contributes to medical expenses.

Angel Tree Program
Our Sunday School children help to throw a Christmas party for local children that have a parent in prison. The day is filled with games, crafts, songs, great food, and entertainment.

Operation Christmas
Students are invited to participate in this project of Samaritan's Purse which provides shoeboxes of gifts and toys to needy children.

One Great Hour of Sharing
Our children collect change during the Lenten Season to support disaster relief, hunger programs, and community development.

Classroom Projects
Sunday School teachers propose and organize other mission projects for their classes. Support from our congregation is greatly appreciated!

Special Programs

Advent Workshop
Sunday School students kick-off the season of expectation with special Advent devotions and crafts.

Christmas Gathering
Our Sunday School classes join in the celebration of Jesus' birth by sharing carols, skits, and fellowship.

Easter Program
"He is risen! He is risen indeed!" Join the TMPC Drama Group as they celebrate the Resurrection with joy!

Sunday School Celebration
We finish our school year with lots of fun. The cross-generational program is different every year and is always full of surprises!
